Emraan Hasmi is back with another thriller movie called ‘The Body’, this time starring alongside veteran Rishi Kapoor.
Introduction
Emraan Hasmi is back with another suspense film. The Hindi film, called ‘The Body’, tells the story of a professor (played by Emran Hasmi) whose wife dies and her body disappears from the morgue. An investigating officer (played by Rishi Kapoor) starts investigating the case and hence the movie begins. The movie has released on 13th December 2019.
Release of the movie’s first Poster
The makers of the movie had earlier kept the name and release date of the movie under wraps. On 9th November 2019, Emraan Hasmi unveiled the first poster of the movie along with its release date on his Instagram account.
Comeback and Debut in Bollywood
The movie marks a comeback to Bollywood for the veteran Rishi Kapoor and is also a directorial debut in Bollywood for Jeethu Joseph, who is known for his movies such as the Malayalam thriller movie ’Drishyam’. The film ‘The Body’ is said to be an official remake of the horror-thriller Spanish movie called ‘El Cuerpo’, which released in the year 2012.

These movies made him a household name but for a while, he had taken a break from doing such movies as he was getting the same type of repetitive scripts every time. However, he has said in one of his interview that he couldn’t refuse when he was offered to play a role in this movie. He has said that Jeethu Joseph, the director, knows the thriller genre very well and he has told the story in a delightful way. He has also praised Rishi Kapoor as well and has said that he enjoyed working with him and that Rishi Kapoor is a very passionate and professional actor.
