There have been some fabulous remakes of Hindi films from the past which have at times lived up their reputation. The original Pati Patni Aur Woh was a BR Chopra film made more than thirty years back in 1978. A hilarious take on an extramarital affair, it turned out to be an iconic film, still remembered for some excellent acting and treatment by the primary characters enacted by Sanjeev Kumar, Vidya Sinha and Ranjeeta Kaur. The glamour quotient was further added by guest appearances of Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Singh and Parveen Babi. With some lilting music by Ravindra Jain and soulful lyrics of Anand Bakshi, the expectations from the remake are bound to be high.
The remake is on the floors since February and is scheduled to release on 6 December all over India.

He gets promoted and is enamoured by the beauty of his new secretary Nirmala Deshpande (Ranjita Kaur). He concocts a story about his wife being terminally ill to gain the attention of his pretty secretary, who falls for the ruse and is attracted. Things were hunky-dory until the wife gets suspicious. Through several comical twists and turns, Ranjeet is exposed, and all hell breaks loose. The end has an interesting twist - when the family is reconciled, and Nirmala has resigned, in walks the new secretary – Parveen Babi.
