All through the year you come across concerts where the forte is Live Music, but this musical event is different.  It is a Sangeetam Charitable Trust, who have a tradition of sponsoring musical talents with finance, presentation in a happening place near you in Mumbai. For this live music concert, three of the recently talked about musical talents who have raised the bar in composing and playback singing in Bollywood movies with élan, are going to churn out some memorable numbers from their repertoire. Let us know a bit more about them:

  • Shaan:  Senior most among the three, Shantanu Mukherjee made the theme song from 3 Idiots - Behti hawa sat ha woh--- an iconic  number. Born in a musical family, the multifaceted Shaan, succeeded in creating a niche for himself at an early age. Cutting albums with his equally alented sister Sagarika, he captured young hearts with Bhool Ja which won him myriad fans. He also successfully anchored many unforgettable music reality shows on TV.  
  • Papon:  Originating in the musical tradition of Assam, Angaraag Mahanta owes his musical versatility and talent to his renowned musical parentage. Influenced strongly by the classical and folk music of Assam and Eastern India, Papon as he is popularly known, is a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer establishing himself as one of the new voices of India. His rendition of Moh Moh Ke Dhaage is an apt reflection of his talent. .
  • Ankit Tiwari:  A composer and a payback singer, he is a later entry into the musical pantheon of Bollywood. He has rocked the charts in recent times both as a composer and a playback singer and has already won the Best Music Director and Best Playback Singer in recent times. He has won laurels across the borders with chart bursting music in a Pakistani film. His Katra Katra still rings in the ears.
