Angel Has Fallen



Angel Has Fallen’ is a forthcoming movie directed by Ric Roman Waugh.  The last that Ric worked as the director, writer and producer was of the film, ‘Shot Caller’ in 2017. Angel Fallen is set out to be a thriller movie full of action and will be part of the famous ‘Olympus Has Fallen ‘movie series. The preceding movies of this series were ‘Olympus Has Fallen’ (2013) followed by ‘London Has Fallen’ (2016).  Morgan Freeman and Gerard Butler will be repeating their roles of Allan Trumball and Mike Banning. Together with them, actors Jada Pinkett Smith and Piper Perabo will also play their role alongside Gerard and Morgan as FBI agent Thompson and Lean Banning.

Further in the cast will be Nick Nolte as Mike Banning’s estranged father. Actor Holt Mccallany dropped out of his role due to scheduling difficulties with the show, Mindhunter.  Actor Danny Huston is replacing him.
The movie is following the events of the preceding film, London Has Fallen. Now serving under the president, Here Agent Mike Banning finds himself to having been falsely accused for an attempt to the assassination of President Allan Trumball. Banning finds himself making unexpected allies as he races to get his name cleared, all while being pursued by the FBI and his agency. 

Gerard was last seen in the movie, ‘How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World’ where he ended the popular series in his role of ‘Stoick’.  Morgan Freeman, on the other hand, was last seen in May 2019 in the role of ‘Doc’ in the movie ‘The Poison Rose’. Gerard himself is on the list of producers for the movie along with Alan Siegel, Mark Gill, John Thompson, Matt O’Toole and Les Weldon. This film is set to be bigger and better than all of its earlier releases. Gerard himself has gone on record to say that ‘Angel Has Fallen’ will be “a much deeper, darker journey”. The screenplay for the movie is written by Creighton Rothenberger, Katrin Benedikt and Robert Mark Kamen of ‘The Karate Kid (2010) and Taken series fame. Angel Has Fallen is all set to hit the theatres on 23rd August 2019.
