Watching your favorite singer perform right in front of you is another feeling altogether. Also, not every day do popular singers have live concerts, so when there is one, it is absolutely unmissable. This year, Dream Theater and Ed Sheeran are the biggest names to be visiting India. Radio Mirchi, one of the country's leading radio stations is growing and how. The group is now hosting a series of music and comedy events across the country. While Mirchi LOL with Sunil Grover took place two weeks ago, another upcoming Mirchi Live event has generated a lot of buzz. This one will feature Vidya Iyer who is better known as Vidya Vox.



For those who don't know, Vidya Vox is a popular YouTuber who was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu and raised in Virginia, United States. She started making YouTube videos some time ago and very soon they began getting views. People loved her unique voice and her videos received positive comments. Vidya also sings in a band organized by Shankar Tucker. She has performed at the White House, Webster Hall and the NCPA in Mumbai.

While she does covers of chartbusters, her mashups seem to be a favorite among fans. She has covered songs like Diamonds, Cheap Thrills, Don’t Let Me Down and Closer. Her mashups include Kabira, Hosanna, and Jind Mahi. Her YT channel has more than three million subscribers and they keep growing with every new video that she releases. Since Vidya is a multilingual singer, she appeals to a much wider audience. Her mashups blend Hindi and English songs so beautifully that you would want to hear them on loop.

Vidya has performed in India before but this tour is going to be huge. Mirchi Live with Vidya Vox will take place in multiple cities like Pune, NCR, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, and Jaipur. All the venues have been announced except for the Vidya Vox event in Ahmedabad. Fans of the singer in Mumbai and Bangalore may be disappointed but they can always head to their neighboring cities to watch her concert. The shows are going to be standing events as the organizers want to get more people to attend them.
