New Hollywood Movie is here - The Woman in the Window

Dan Mallory who writes under the pseudo name ‘A J Finn’, is most recently known for his book ‘The Woman in the Window ‘. The thriller novel published on 12 October 2017 stayed on the New York Times Bestseller List for two consecutive weeks and sold over 1 million copies of the book in the United States.
In addition, the novel has appeared on the list of bestselling novels in various countries. The book has gained such popularity that it been published in around 38 languages all over the globe. Owing to the huge success of the novel, it is now being made into a Hollywood movie. The title of the film remains same as that of the novel.Image result for the woman in the windowThe novel revolves around the life of a woman who has agoraphobia and how it changes post her witnessing a violent act while spying on the activities of her neighbour.
An interesting thing to note is that despite the close resemblance in the plot, the movie is not a remodel of an old movie Rear Window released in 1954.
The Joe Wright directed movie, starring Amy Adams, Julianne Moore Gary Oldman, Anthony Mackie among others in prominent roles, is slated for release on October 4, 2019.Image result for the woman in the windowThe movie ‘The Woman In The Window’ also brings Gary Oldman and Amy Adams together who have played two different characters of the DC comics.  Amy Adams has played the role of Lois Lane in Justice League (2017), Batman vs Superman: dawn of Justice (2016) and Man of Steel (2013). Gary Oldman played the role of Jim Gordan in Batman Begins (2005), The Dark Knight (2008) and The Dark Knight Rises (2012).
The Woman in the Window’ is also the third movie that brings Julianne Moore and Anthony Mackie together. Their previous two films being ‘Eagle Eye ‘2008 and ‘Freedomland’ in 2005.Image result for the woman in the windowIn addition, two other stars who have worked together previously are Joe Wright and Gary Oldman in ‘The Darkest Hour’ in 2017, where Gary Oldman won the Oscar for this film in the category of Best Actor.
With an exceptionally talented cast and a best seller novel adaptation, the movie has the ingredients of a movie to look forward to.
