What’s happening at WWE Live in India?

Not very long ago, Indian superstar Jinder Mahal retained the WWE Championship title by defeating the Japanese star Shinsuke Nakamura. Now our champion is all set to return to India as the greatest wrestling star of the current generation. Sony Pictures Networks has announced two live shows – on the 8th and 9th of December – through WWE’s Executive Vice President of Talent Triple H. To meet the requests of WWE fans in India and deliver the biggest main event in the country's history, WWE is combining two nights of family-friendly action into a one-night only, exclusive Supershow.

WWE Live in India’s ‘Supershow’ will take place on Saturday, Dec 9, at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Delhi. This will feature the return of superstar Triple H and modern-day maharaja Jinder Mahal at the main event.
Who else does this card include?
In addition to India’s very own World Champion, the events will feature other international superstars such as Roman Reigns, Finn Balor, Braun Strowman, Alexa Biss, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Sasha Banks. There has arguably never been a bigger Indian market for WWE – a sport that barely ever had an Asian fighting at the top level for them in the 1990s glory days, but now has an Indian ruling it, with a Japanese opponent not too far behind.
Here are the games you need to watch out for:

The Shield: Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose vs. Samoa Joe and RAW
Tag team champions Cesaro and Sheamus

Braun Strowman vs Kane

Finn Balor vs Bray Wyatt

RAW women’s champion Alexa Bliss vs Sasha Banks

Jason Jordan vs Elias

WWE cruiserweight champion Enzo Amore vs Kalisto

Apollo Crews and Titus O’ Neil vs Gallows and Anderson

Jeet Rama and Kishan Rafter vs The Miztourage

Before last year, the WWE’s live tour to India was the RAW Tour of India across three cities in 2002. The star-studded international line-up back then featured fighters like Rob Van Dam, Chris Jericho, Christian, The Dudley Boyz, Booker T, Gold Dust, HHH, and the night’s showstopper, Kane.
15 years later, here’s hoping that we will once again have the experience of our lives in New Delhi in December. We suspect that Jinder Mahal is only the beginning of WWE’s fast-developing romance with India.
